Security Notification
Security Notice – Doorseal.com.au
On 15 August 2025, we identified and removed malicious code from our checkout page that had been covertly inserted by an attacker. This code may have captured credit card details entered during the checkout process between 8 November 2024 and 15 August 2025.
What happened
The malicious code acted like a “card skimmer”, collecting details entered at checkout before orders were confirmed. Importantly, no customer database was accessed – the breach only affected information typed into the payment form at the time of purchase.
What information may have been exposed
- Card number
- Expiry date
- Card security code (CVV)
- Name and billing address entered during checkout
Who is affected
- Customers who placed at least one order and paid by credit card between 8 November 2024 and 15 August 2025 have been impacted.
- Customers who used alternative payment methods may not be affected, but contact details entered on the checkout page may have been exposed.
What you should do
- Contact your bank or card provider to cancel or replace your card.
- Monitor your statements for any suspicious or unauthorised transactions.
- Be alert for phishing emails or scam calls referencing your order.
What we are doing
- The malicious code has been removed and the site has been secured.
- We have notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
- We are moving Doorseal.com.au to a new, more secure platform and investing further in website security controls to prevent this from happening again.
