Frequently Asked Questions
Are the door seals easy to fit?
Most door seals are quite easy to fit. Most people who are a bit handy would be able to fit a door seal quite easy, especially when following our instructions.
How often do I need to replace my fridge door seals?
You only need to replace door seals when they are damaged or there are gaps. Inspect the door seal closely and you should be able to see any defects. In particular look at the bottom of the door seal as this is where any drink spillages.
What makes of fridges and freezers can you supply door seals for?
We supply door seals to a wide range of domestic and commercial fridges and freezers. The list of fridge makes on the left are only some of the door seals that we stock. There are over 5000 door seals in our database and we are regularly adding new door seals to our online shop.
Do you have instructions on how to fit the door seals?
We are in the process of creating instruction pages for each of the different types of door seals. Some can be found online already, and will give you a general idea of how to fit most door seals.
Do you have fridge door seals for my fridge/freezer?
If you do not see your door seal listed after doing a search via the search form, or by browsing through our listings for your make of fridge, then please contact us and we will do our best to find the door seal that is right for your fridge or freezer.
How much money can be saved by replacing my faulty door seals?
I have not done any testing myself, but as your fridge is one of the most energy consuming appliances in most households, having faulty door seals can cause the motor to run a lot more, causing much higher electricity bills, not to mention the extra wear and tear that it causes on your fridges motor.
Where do I find the model number on my fridge/freezer?
We will be adding a guide to finding your model number in the near future. Most model numbers can be found inside the fridge on the side wall or inside the door on a sticker. Sometimes you may need to pull the crisper drawer out to find it.
How long would it take for my door seals to arrive?
Generally it will take a working day for your credit card payment to clear. Then there is usually between 1-5 working days to have the door seal manufactured, although most are manufactured within 2 days. Then the seal is delivered and will get to your door as quickly as the delivery takes, dependant on your location.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Credit Card, Money Order, Direct Deposit. Credit card is the fastest way to get your seals. If you want to pick up your door seal from Ingle Farm, South Australia, then call us on 8263 6665
Can you fit my door seals?
We are only able to fit door seals within certain areas of the metropolitan area of Adelaide. Generally we will fit door seals for people in most areas of adelaide except for some Southern areas.
What tools do I need for fitting my door seal?
It does depend on which type of door seal you are fitting. Some do not even need tools at all. Generally either a Philips head screwdriver or a socket driver. Sometimes talc/baby powder can assist with stopping door seals rubbing on the hinge side. A hair dryer and/or something to stretch the door seal out may be required to soften the door seal material and allow you to stretch it into shape to fix any gaps which may appear. These are only necessary in some door seal installations though, and not all of them, with it being very dependant on the alignment of your door.
