RP2A Installation Instructions

A nylon brush seal with an aluminium carrier, sweeps smoothly over hard floors.

The RP2A is suitable for installation on all types of doors.

NOTE: For easy door operation, determine which side of the door the RP2A will function best. Brush seal should lightly engage the sealing surface and sweep smoothly across the floor. Uneven or ramped floors may cause the seal to drag. Recommended adhesion temperature is above 21 degrees celcius. Full adhesion strength may take a few days.

  1. The seal can be fitted on the front or back of the door. Surface must be clean, smooth and if painted, well cured.
  2. With the door closed, measure the oor width. Refer to Fig. A
    Step 2 Figure A
  3. Remove brush strip from the aluminium section. Cut the aluminium section with a hacksaw to the required length. Cut the brush with side shears to keep bristles locked in. Refer to Fig. 1.
    Step 3 Figure 1
  4. Replace brush in aluminium section. If the brush is loose, remove it, bend it and replace. Refer to Fig. 2.
